Macquarie University, one of the top ranked universities in Australia conducted a training needs assessment among a representative sample of commercial banks in Sri Lanka in May 2017 with the assistance of Emergence Education. The focus of this exercise was to determine the customized training needs of the respective banks and also Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements for the staff. The Applied Finance Faculty of the Macquarie University which has industry experts in their resource pool executes such programs both in Australia and internationally including India and have developed a strong reputation in the banking & finance sector.
Based on the industry feedback during the needs assessment and as an initial step, Macquarie has now formulated a One (1) day CPD workshop on Fundamentals of Risk Management to be delivered by an experienced faculty member, Dr. Frank Ashe, who is also an Approved ISO 31000 Risk Management Lead Trainer. Emergence Education is happy to be associated in assisting Macquarie University in developing the course agenda based on the industry expectations and organizing the event. The workshop is targeted towards middle level managers in the banks and will be held on 7th December 2017 at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel.
